Hello, my name is Candace. I am the Team Leader here at the Rise in beautiful Salmon Arm. In August of 2007, I began my recovery journey. I am grateful to bring my years of experience and knowledge from working in the recovery community to the Rise.
In 2012 I started my career working in the recovery field with people in addiction. I continue to my education through courses and schooling, so that I can be of service and help others.
Joining the Rise team has been amazing, getting to work alongside such talented people who are enthusiastic about recovery. I am blessed to be apart of something greater than myself. All of this would not be possible without the ongoing love and support from my loving husband and adult children.
A crucial part of working here at the Rise for me, is the connection and unconditional love, without this we peril. I genuinely love what I do, watching people begin a new journey on the Red Road.

Hello, I am Cheri, a dedicated recovering addict with a profound commitment to helping others overcome challenges related to addiction, and mental health. My extensive experience and passion for empowering individuals have made me a trusted advocate and mentor in the recovery community.
I changed my life on Sept 11/2008 and started my 12-step journey in becoming clean and serene. I have always given back what was so freely given to me. We do recover, and I love helping people to achieve recovery and live a life beyond their wildest dreams, just like my own has.
My relationships with family, friends and my higher power have been restored with my own sanity. I am a proud mother of 5 amazing adult children and grandma of 2 with one more coming soon! I would not have them in my life if I didn't go to treatment and walk the Red Road.
As someone with lived experience and multiple years of personal recovery, I bring unique insight, compassion, and mentorship to my work. My experience, strength and hope is a wonderful asset, and a beacon of hope for those on their recovery journey.
