My name is Scott Tremblett and I am a Canadian Certified Addictions Counsellor, I am also Certified in Telemedicine and have my own first hand experience with addiction.
My journey begins when I was very young feeling like I just didn't fit anywhere, something was missing. I went down a very dark path in search of a solution and got lost along the way, I always felt a yearning to belong somewhere. After years of battling with substance abuse, an unmanageable lifestyle and many failed attempts at sobriety I finally reached my bottom and found myself in 12 step recovery. I believe there are many paths to sobriety and obtaining a fulfilling life however that was the beginning of mine. I submerged myself in recovery making it my number one priority and became inspired to dedicate the rest of my life to helping others.
I started working in the field of addictions as a support worker until being promoted to team leader at a professional treatment facility. I continued pursuing my education eventually leading to being certified as an Addictions Counsellor.
Over the years I have worked with many clients utilizing my education in: CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, narrative therapy and more. Most of all, relating with my clients through first hand experience has been the most rewarding and effective.
One of my biggest struggles was believing in myself and knowing that I am worth it.
My questions to you are, What is your worth?, What do you strive for?

My name is Carolyn Rennie and I am the Operations Manager at Red Road Recovery. I used to live a really chaotic life in Toronto full of workaholism and drug addiction. In 2017 I made the best decision of my life and moved out to Salmon Arm BC. Here, I’ve found a way to make a work/life balance and focus on the things that really matter.
I am blessed to get the chance to work with other recovering addicts and alcoholics. I myself have been clean since September 2018. There is something really special about addicts helping other addicts and I appreciate that all staff members have experience in recovery to be able to share their stories with the clients.
My background, and Masters of Science, is in meteorology (the study of weather). I’m able to use the computer and analytical skills I’ve learned and adapt them to my work at Red Road. Back in Toronto, I ran a company studying catastrophes for the insurance industry. Moving here, I got into insurance and then worked as the Executive Director for the Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce. Working at my past jobs I’ve learned a lot about how businesses run, social media, marketing, event planning and how to help businesses succeed. I have also taken Accounting Fundamentals and Sage and Quickbooks training. I am so honoured to have this opportunity to work with Red Road Recovery.
